Purpose of Residence

To provide men and women, age 18 and older, a safe and structured living environment that is supportive of their recovery efforts.  Each recovery home (a 5 bedroom women's home and a 5 bedroom men's home) will provide a drug and alcohol-free homelike environment for individuals who are self sustaining but who require a minimal level of support and assistance to maintain recovery from alcohol and/or drug abuse.  Each recovery home will operate 24-hours per day, seven (7) days a week with a program designed to maximize opportunities for employment, education, health, recreation, family and social relationships, and overall living skills.  An on-call clinician will be available at all times.

Clients will be referred to this level of service by a residential treatment provider within the state, with priority going to those clients coming from within the northeast region, or by an outpatient treatment provider within the northeast region.  Referrals are to be directed to WYSTAR's Outpatient Treatment Program Director, Lisa Kramer-Lee, at 307.672.2641 X208.

Eligibility

Individuals eligible to reside in the Recovery Homes must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have completed a residential treatment program and/or are currently receiving outpatient services and require additional supports to remain out of residential care
• Require a minimal level of support and assistance to maintain recovery from alcohol and/or drug dependence
• Have a letter of application from the prospective resident
• Have an assessment completed within the last 30 days
• Have a physical
• Have a letter of referral from current substance abuse treatment provider outlining client's progress in treatment and justification to this level of care
• Be employed full-time and/or be a student

Costs

Each resident will be expected to pay a fee of $475 per month, which covers rent, utilities, one hot meal per day and five hours of clinical services per week.  Residents will purchase their own food and personal care items.  All linens and house wares will be provided.  Each resident will be expected to pay the first month's fee prior to residing in the home and will then pay each subsequent month's fee by the 5th of every month.
